The same material can be classified in either system. Let's say you were looking for the book Online Seductions: Falling in Love with Strangers on the Internet. 

Using the Library of Congress system, the call number would be HQ 801 .G95 1998. What does this number represent? (note: sometimes the decimal point will be missing from the second set of letters and numbers - this is a common omission - the decimal point should be there but is often omitted)
