Finding Journals Online

If a journal is available in an online format because Stanford's libraries subscribe to that electronic journal, the record in Socrates will give you this information. Display the Detailed record. If it is available in electronic form, you will see a list of ways to access fulltext on the left side of the detailed record. Either click on GO next to the vendor which has the range of years you need, or put the volume, year, and page number in the box and click GO.

However, read the record carefully. Many journals have only some of the years in electronic format and some of the years in print format. Note: Because our electronic holdings are always changing, sometimes the Socrates record does not indicate there are electronic holdings, so it's a good idea to check "e-journals" as well (E-Journals are described in the next page)
