Types of Sources
E-Mail
Email and other forms of online communication,
such as chat and text-messaging, can be cited
as sources. Each of these formats has its own
language and rules. However, remember that
these are not private forms of communication.
Use E-Mail
- to communicate with an expert in the field
- to access postings and messages on newsgroups and listservs
- to ask your reference librarian a question
about research
Examples
- person@stanford.edu
- bi-l@listserv.byu.edu
- person@mailer.uni-marburg.de
