Module 1 - Searching Expertise - Finding Help

You've learned author and title searching and how to limit in Socrates. You've been introduced to Combined Search and how to find subject headings. You still need to know how to find periodical titles, but you'll learn that in another module.

Experimenting is the best way to become skilled at searching. Don't forget the Help link, or the Ask Us in the toolbar.

However, help is also available at the Information Center Desk, located on the first floor of Green Library, or at a reference point in other libraries. Think of the trained staff as a source and take advantage of their experience — ask them for assistance.
